The vicinity to Dugi Rat (well equipped with all kinds of services) and the children friendly, shallow water sandy beaches all make Orij a pleasant destination for family vacations. A minor disadvantage comes from the fact that, similarly to other places on the coast, the Adriatic Magistral goes through Orij, too. In the high season this can eventually lead to traffic jams.
